Job summary

Fort Worth ISD seeks a Director I - Regional Safety to lead the safety and security program for an assigned region. You will supervise Regional Safety Managers, coordinate with School Resource Officers and district partners, and ensure standards and emergency plans are implemented district-wide.

The role requires strong leadership, policing and emergency management experience, with collaboration across campus principals and community partners.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5–9 years in public education, law enforcement, emergency management, or related field.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with school security or emergency management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs the overall safety and security program for an assigned region.
• Supervises Regional Safety Managers, including hiring recommendations and performance evaluation.
• Coordinates with law enforcement, emergency management, and district departments.
• Oversees regional emergency operations plans and drills; ensures compliance with policies.
• Analyzes incident data and prepares reports for leadership.
• Represents the department at district and community meetings.
