Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: 5 years' experience in public education, law enforcement, emergency management, or related field.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in some settings.

Responsibilities

• Liaison on behalf of the Safety & Security Department with administrators, law enforcement, security staff, and community partners.
• Elevates campus safety by providing guidance on security topics and identifying safety hazards and risks.
• Assist administrators with annual updates and maintenance of the campus emergency operations plans.
• Provides incident reports to appropriate contacts at juvenile probation, law enforcement, and Safety & Security.
• Responds to calls for assistance at campuses during emergencies.
• Trains administrators in the use of security systems and procedures.
