Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Safety Director to oversee Construction Project Safety and Health, risk management, and ORM processes across multiple projects. The role focuses on developing site-specific safety plans, training staff, and integrating safety standards for optimal project performance.

The ideal candidate has 16+ years in S&H with strong leadership, communication, and regulatory expertise. The position is on-site in Tysons, with a demand for flexibility and readiness to engage with

Qualifications

• 16+ years of construction S&H experience.
• Experience in electrical/construction/industrial S&H.
• Knowledge of OSHA/MSHA/DOT compliance and insurance audits.
• Experience conducting S&H training programs.
• Coordinate with GC/owner and contractors on safety matters.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage construction safety and health risks.
• Develop risk control strategies and audit the safety program.
• Ensure contract specs are integrated into the Accident Prevention Program (APP).
• Develop training for field and operations staff on S&H topics.
• Review safety submittals and collaborate with Project Management.
• Support bid decisions and project estimates with safety considerations.
• Review safety data and provide feedback to site personnel and executives.
• Lead PKOM/PPKOM meetings and ensure compliance documentation.
