Job summary

California State University, Stanislaus in Turlock is seeking a Safety & Risk Management Student Assistant (FWS) to support front desk operations, mail duties, data management, and clerical tasks in the Safety and Risk Management unit. This temporary, hourly position is located at Stanislaus - Turlock and starts October 1, 2026, with ending by May 21, 2027.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
• Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
• Driving may be required to carry out assigned tasks

Responsibilities

• Front desk duties including answering phones, read/respond to emails, and receive walk-ins.
• Pick up, distribute mail and make on campus deliveries as needed.
• Create and update spreadsheets and databases.
• Compose correspondence, type letters, and memos, often confidential in nature.
• Heavy data entry, filing, and clerical projects.
• Filing, shredding, scanning and copying documents as needed.
• Preparation of training materials such as copies, collate, staple, folder preparation, etc.
• Perform office hygiene prevention (dusting, sanitizing).
• Other duties as assigned.
