Sheakley is seeking a Construction Safety Representative in Canton, OH to provide daily field safety oversight for civil construction crews on a long-term data center project. The role emphasizes compliance with OSHA standards and project safety requirements, with a strong field presence.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction safety experience and relevant BCSP credentials (CHST/ASP/CSP) and CPR/First Aid/AED certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience preferred.
• Experience with data center construction and civil safety is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for civil construction operations.
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor excavation activities, utility installation, grading operations, and heavy equipment activities.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Construction Safety Representative

Location: Canton, OH

Duration: 2 Years (Start: 10/12)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Pay Rate: $56/hr

Per Diem: None

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Monday-Saturday | 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM | 60 Hours Per Week

Additional Schedule Details: Long-term project with consistent overtime opportunities supporting early-phase site development activities.

Salary
