Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Manager Safety Compliance to lead company-wide safety and regulatory programs across OSHA, DOT, EPA, NFPA, and state/local requirements. Travel to locations for assessments and training.

You will partner with HR, Legal, Risk Management, and Operations to reduce risk, oversee inspections, and promote a proactive safety culture. Requires 5+ years of experience and CSP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of occupational safety, environmental, or regulatory compliance experience.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, general industry safety standards, and NFPA codes and standards.
• Working knowledge of DOT and EPA regulations.
• Experience conducting audits, investigations, and inspections.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to translate regulatory changes into practical guidance and training.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety management software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain company-wide safety compliance programs supporting OSHA, DOT, EPA, and state regulations.
• Oversee driving eligibility, substance abuse programs, and fleet safety initiatives to support compliance.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate requirements to leadership.
• Conduct compliance audits, safety assessments, and program reviews.
• Identify deficiencies and oversee corrective actions.
• Coordinate responses to OSHA, EPA, DOT inspections and requests for information.
• Maintain safety policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
• Review incident investigations and verify corrective actions.
• Analyze injury, vehicle accident, audit, and compliance data to identify trends.
• Support environmental compliance activities including hazardous waste and spill reporting.
