Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. Dayton plant seeks a leader to head Continuous Improvement and Safety initiatives, delivering safe production of high quality products while meeting customer needs in a cost effective and compliant manner.

The role directs the Quality Management System, drives improvement across costs, quality and service, and mentors teams. It requires strong communication with the Plant Management team and a firm commitment to GMPs, SOPs and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• College degree in manufacturing, engineering, logistics or equivalent.
• Experience in a variety of manufacturing areas (production, logistics).
• Experience in quality system management or manufacturing leadership preferred.
• Competent with MS Office and Statistical software.
• Previous ISO certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Quality Management System at the plant
• Drives Continuous Improvement to improve costs, quality and service
• Manages vendor performance, customer complaints, and data reports
• Ensures timely handling of customer feedback and root cause analyses
• Supports safety as a top priority in training, design and compliance
• Establishes and maintains systems for right-first-time performance
• Performs safety and plant process improvements and regulatory compliance
• Communicates needs of quality and safety operations to Plant Management
• Develops methods to reduce costs and improve products safely
• Investigates incidents and leads safety inspections and training
