Job summary

Pratt Industries in Vandalia, OH is seeking a Continuous Improvement Leader to drive the plant's quality and cost initiatives. You will provide leadership, planning, and coaching to ensure safe production of high quality products that meet customer needs.

In this role you will direct the Quality Management System, implement Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, and partner with manufacturing, sales, design, vendors, and customers to improve processes and performance across the plant.

Qualifications

• College degree in manufacturing, engineering, logistics or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, production or logistics environments.
• Knowledge of quality systems and lean/six sigma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Quality Management System at the plant.
• Train and educate the organization and implement continuous improvement methodologies such as 6 Sigma, 5S, Lean, OE and others.
• Drives Continuous Improvement to improve costs, quality and service.
• Tracks vendor performance and analyzes customer complaints and quality data.
• Ensures prompt handling of customer feedback using root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Supports safety as a top priority in training and regulatory compliance.
• Ensures product quality and right first time performance plant-wide.
• Focuses on plant-wide issues and inter-plant initiatives.
