Job summary

Alaska Airlines is seeking a Safety Programs Execution Manager to lead standardization and continuous improvement of safety programs across Alaska, Horizon, and Hawaiian operations. You will translate enterprise safety strategy into practical actions and measurable outcomes as an individual contributor with strong judgment.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in safety programs, operations, continuous improvement, or related discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree; or two additional years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience driving program execution, process improvement, or change management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; adapt messaging for different audiences.
  • Ability to operate independently and exercise sound judgment in complex environments.
  • Minimum age 18; authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Translate safety strategy into actionable implementation plans and drive delivery of enterprise safety programs.
  • Lead cross-divisional execution ensuring standardized processes, tools, and reporting across Alaska, Horizon, and Hawaiian operations.
  • Partner with leadership to identify safety gaps and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce risk.
  • Drive adoption of safety data systems, ensure high data quality and actionable frontline insights.
  • Establish governance frameworks and accountability to sustain safety transformation.
  • Analyze safety data to identify risks, inform mitigation, and measure program effectiveness.
  • Lead change management, training, and frontline engagement for Safety Management System practices.
  • Influence stakeholders across levels to align priorities and drive continuous safety improvements.
