Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Program Specialist - Safety in Spokane, WA to lead site safety planning and risk mitigation for Platform Construction projects. You will develop site-specific safety plans, verify subcontractor training, and drive safety program improvements to protect people and property.

The role requires OSHA 30, construction knowledge, and a degree in Safety or related field, with Microsoft Office proficiency and strong leadership capability.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local safety regulations required.
• Ability to recognize onsite risk factors and take appropriate action.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Visio knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with adherence to safety and loss control policies and training.
• Develop site-specific safety plans and ensure execution.
• Implement project-specific safety planning considerations.
• Verify subcontractors training per OSHA standards.
• Administer McKinstry Safety Program to reduce injury risk.
• Support safety program reviews, audits, and updates.
