Job summary

McKinstry in Spokane, WA is seeking a Program Specialist - Safety to join the Platform Construction division. You will identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions using McKinstry safety standards and best practices on projects in the region.

The role requires OSHA 30, construction safety experience, and the ability to lead program initiatives, conduct safety meetings, and train staff. Strong MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local safety regulations required.
• Ability to lead in safety program initiatives with firmness and tact.
• Working knowledge of MS Office; SharePoint knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop site-specific safety plans applying McKinstry Safety standards.
• Execute site safety plans tailored to project needs.
• Verify subcontractor safety training per OSHA standards.
• Administer McKinstry Safety Program to reduce risk of injury and loss.
• Assist Safety Program Managers with audits, reviews and updates.
• Lead safety orientations, investigations, andMinutes for meetings.
