Job summary

Omni Air International is seeking a Safety Coordinator to serve as a resource to the Director of Safety and to coordinate Safety and SMS programs across departments. The role involves ensuring safety takes precedence while maintaining compliance with federal regulations and internal standards.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, two years of technical writing experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Two years of technical writing experience required.
  • Possess general knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Capacity to become familiar with all aspects of the company's organization, activities, and personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest level of safety in the public interest during the conduct of all activities.
  • Ensure the safety of customers is prioritized alongside other considerations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and conformity to standards during activities.
  • Develop and refine safety communication processes for SMS policies and tools.
  • Prepare safety information including hazard information and rationale for safety changes.
  • Provide narrative summaries of investigations to support SMS management.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental communications to ensure information flow.
