Job summary

I-77 Mobility Partners LLC seeks an on-site Safety Specialist to develop and implement safety programs for maintenance and tolling activities. You will advise staff on OSHA/ANSI/NFPA compliance, conduct risk assessments, and deliver essential PPE training across project sites.

Regular inspections, incident investigations, and accurate record-keeping are key. Strong communication and ISO standards knowledge are required to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required with 3+ years related safety duties.
• Experience conducting safety audits and hazard assessments.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry Standard (OSHA 1926 preferred).
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and generate safety reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for training and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of safety programs for Maintenance and Tolling activities.
• Advise staff on safety protocols to ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA).
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard identifications.
• Deliver training on safety procedures, emergency response, and PPE usage.
• Assist with acquiring safety supplies and PPE.
• Perform regular inspections of facilities/equipment and ensure compliance.
• Support corrective actions and closure of follow-up items.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses to determine root causes.
• Maintain records of training, inspections, audits, and investigations.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills.
• Coordinate with subcontractors on safety requirements.
