Job summary

McKinstry in Portland, OR is seeking a Program Manager - Safety to lead the enterprise Safety Program and manage safety professionals at the business-unit level. You will develop site-specific safety plans and ensure adherence to OSHA standards across projects, while guiding training and incident investigations.

The role requires five years in construction/industrial safety, a Bachelor's in Safety or related field, and a working knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience with emphasis on construction and/or industrial safety
• Experience in Safety Management is required
• Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Assist Business Units in development of annual Safety Business plans
• Set Safety Training expectations for assigned Business Units
• Monitor and report safety performance through audits and investigations
• Develop site-specific safety plans applying McKinstry Safety Programs
• Ensure subcontractors comply with OSHA standards
• Support field and safety program staff as needed
• Occasionally assist with superintendent duties
• Conduct daily site visits
• Assist with preconstruction safety risk activities
• Facilitate safety stand-downs in the field
