Job summary

Mahindra Automotive North America is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee health and safety programs across our Pontiac, MI facility. The role focuses on hazard assessment, regulatory compliance, and fostering a proactive safety culture on the shop floor and offices.

You will lead training sessions, coordinate audits, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance while collaborating with HR and operations to integrate safety into all processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• CSP or OSHA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain health and safety programs.
• Lead hazard assessments and risk analyses.
• Ensure OSHA/EPA compliance and prepare audits.
• Deliver safety trainings for employees and contractors.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate emergency response plans and drills.
