Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to help transform safety culture at its facilities in New York. You will lead safety programs, audits, and trainings, combining technology with people-centered solutions to protect associates and sustain productivity.

As the site safety champion, you will collaborate with frontline teams and leadership, conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and support emergency response. Flexibility for days, nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• 1 year in an EHS-related field OR a Bachelor’s degree in EHS background OR 6 months experience in a safety-related role within Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues.

• Lead safety programs and audits using data-driven strategies.
• Investigate incidents and perform risk assessments.
• Deliver engaging safety training and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Advocate for associates and collaborate with leadership to drive safety practices.
