Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to lead comprehensive safety programs, conduct audits and investigations, and promote a culture of safe working practices. You will build partnerships, translate safety data into actions, and drive continuous improvement across facilities.

The role includes on-site responsibilities, training delivery, and collaboration with leadership to protect associates while maintaining productivity.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) field OR a Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related background OR 6 months of safety work at Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments with data-driven improvements.
• Deliver safety training that engages associates and fosters a proactive safety culture.
• Advise frontline teams and leadership to drive safe behaviors and preventive practices.
• Assist emergency response and maintain care delivery at the site as needed.
• Support site safety data analysis and reporting to improve programs.
