Job summary

Travis County’s Facilities Management Department seeks a seasoned Safety Program Manager to develop, implement, and oversee countywide occupational safety initiatives. You will lead investigations, coordinate with senior management, and manage staff and budgets for safety programs across multiple facilities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least three years of relevant experience, including two years in supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
• Three years of directly related experience, including two years of supervisory/managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops, administers, implements, and evaluates occupational safety programs for a County department.
• Leads accident/incident investigations and coordinates with management on safety initiatives.
• Manages program budgets, training initiatives, and performance measures.
• Directs staff, conducts safety meetings, and ensures regulatory compliance.
