Job summary

Travis County’s Facilities Management Department seeks a Safety Program Manager to develop and oversee our safety initiatives across multiple facilities. You will lead investigations, coordinate training, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations while managing staff and departmental budgets.

You will collaborate with senior management, conduct safety meetings, and respond to incidents, guiding continuous improvement in injury prevention and loss control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, Safety Engineering, or related field.
• Three years of related experience, including two years in supervisory/management roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop, administer, implement, and evaluate the safety program for the department.
• Lead accident/incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with management to set safety goals, budgets, and training plans.
• Conduct safety meetings and provide education on trends and regulations.
• Manage PPE inventory and department budget; supervise staff and operations.
• Respond to critical incidents and ensure regulatory compliance across facilities.
