Job summary

Luster National is seeking Safety Managers to support large, complex heavy civil infrastructure programs across highways, bridges, transit, aviation, and water projects. You’ll enforce contractual safety requirements, review plans, and verify controls in the field, while leading safety staff across multiple contracts.

We seek candidates with extensive field safety experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and proven ability to drive corrective actions and maintain defensible incident records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety/health, safety engineering, construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction safety experience on large, complex heavy-civil projects.
• Experience developing/reviewing site safety plans and hazard analyses against contract requirements.
• Experience conducting field safety audits and enforcing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead program-level safety governance across concurrent contracts and develop enterprise safety procedures.
• Review site-specific safety plans, hazard analyses, and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Audit contractor safety in the field and verify controls at the work face.
• Drive corrective actions to closure and manage incident investigations.
• Administer program safety requirements in contracts, training, and records.
• Oversee high-hazard activities and ensure permits and approvals are in place.
• Coordinate safety planning across overlapping operations and preconstruction meetings.
• Analyze leading/lagging safety indicators and report to program leadership.
