Job summary

Hooper is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee health and safety programs across complex projects. You will develop site-specific safety plans, monitor compliance, and lead incident investigations to protect workers and clients.

The role requires coordinating with construction teams, conducting safety walks, trainings, and ensuring PPE and procedures meet regulatory requirements. A CSP/CHST/CSMC or equivalent certification is preferred, with 5–10 years of leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health or safety preferred.
• 3–5 years of health and safety support and leadership experience.
• 5–10 years of construction safety leadership on capital projects may offset degree.
• OSHA crane, derrick, and hoist safety competency.
• CSP/CHST/CSMC or equivalent certifications preferred.
• OSHA 10/30-hour training completed preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Hooper Corporation safety performance and regulatory compliance on-site.
• Develop and implement site-specific Safety Plans and monitor compliance.
• Lead safety meetings and on-site communications; maintain PPE and safety equipment.
• Conduct site safety walks and incident investigations; coordinate with client safety teams.
• Stop work authority for imminent safety hazards; ensure corrective actions are implemented.
