SurfacePrep is seeking a Safety Product Specialist to drive strategic growth in the industrial safety market across Michigan. In this highly visible role, you’ll collaborate with customers, sales teams, and supplier partners to uncover opportunities, strengthen relationships, and deliver innovative PPE solutions.

You’ll serve as the regional expert on respiratory protection, eye/face/head protection, hearing protection, and other PPE, while leading product demonstrations, training, and account

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial sales, safety, PPE, or related fields.
• Knowledge of respiratory protection and PPE applications.
• Familiarity with OSHA and ANSI standards.
• Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
• Experience providing technical recommendations and customer-facing solutions.
• Ability to train, influence, and collaborate across teams and customers.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the regional subject matter expert for PPE and safety solutions.
• Partner with sales to identify new business and expand accounts.
• Evaluate applications and recommend PPE and safety solutions.
• Lead product demonstrations, trials, and standardization initiatives.
• Deliver technical product training and support new rollouts.
• Collaborate with supplier partners on training and growth initiatives.
• Utilize CRM and analytics to identify trends and manage strategic accounts.
• Support regional planning, marketing, and trade show activities.
