Job summary

Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Safety Partner to support a safe hospital environment for patients at risk of safety events. You will assist with risk assessment, collaborate with clinical teams, and help implement safety protocols throughout the patient’s stay.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in healthcare or health sciences programs. Eligible for shift-based responsibilities within a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Previous healthcare experience or enrollment in a health sciences program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the provision of a safe hospital environment for patients at risk of suicide, falls, wandering, agitation, impulsiveness, self-harm or other risk behaviors.
• Support patient safety initiatives and collaborate with care teams to mitigate risk during the hospital stay.
• Monitor and document safety concerns and assist with interventions to maintain patient function and well‑being.

The base pay range for full-time employment is $17.82 - $25.65 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
