Job summary

Green Hills Community in Ames, IA is recruiting a hospitality-focused Safety Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The role includes rounds, alarm response, basic first aid, and reporting responsibilities.

Schedule is 36 hours per week across Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday shifts with hourly pay of $20. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and basic Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Security experience or CNA/EMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled rounds inside and outside the community to maintain security.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies; provide first aid/CPR as needed.
• Submit timely incident reports and safety inspections to supervisor.
• Assist with special security needs involving employees and residents.

Schedule: Work 3 days a week (12 hours/day) between Sunday – 7am-7pm, Monday – 8am-6pm, & Tuesday – 8pm – 6pm

GreenHills Community is recruiting for a hospitality focused Safety Officer to join our team! This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents, visitors, and employees, while protecting community property.

YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE YOU WILL…

• Perform scheduled rounds both inside and outside the community buildings to maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to all alarms and emergency calls. Perform first aid/CPR as necessary. Responsible for immediate notification of emergencies to appropriate personnel.
• Provide timely, accurate reports, including incident reports, safety inspections, repair and service requests, emergencies, and delivers report(s) to supervisor.
• Assist with special security needs as they arise involving employees, visitors, and other members of the community.
