Green Hills Community in Ames, IA is seeking a Safety Officer to maintain a safe, secure environment for residents, visitors and staff. This full-time role (36 hours/week) offers a structured schedule: Sunday 7am-7pm, Monday 8am-6pm, Tuesday 8pm-6pm.

You will perform rounds, respond to alarms, provide first aid if needed, file incident reports, and support special security needs. Requirements include high school diploma, valid driver's license, ability to follow instructions, basic MS Office,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Security experience or CNA/EMT preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle checks.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled rounds inside and outside the community to maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to alarms and emergency calls; perform first aid/CPR as necessary; notify appropriate personnel.
• Provide timely, accurate incident reports, safety inspections, and service requests; deliver to supervisor.
• Assist with special security needs involving employees, visitors, and community members.

GreenHills Community is recruiting for a hospitality focused Safety Officer to join our team! This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents, visitors, and employees, while protecting community property.

YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE YOU WILL…

• Perform scheduled rounds both inside and outside the community buildings to maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to all alarms and emergency calls. Perform first aid/CPR as necessary. Responsible for immediate notification of emergencies to appropriate personnel.
• Provide timely, accurate reports, including incident reports, safety inspections, repair and service requests, emergencies, and delivers report(s) to supervisor.
• Assist with special security needs as they arise involving employees, visitors, and other members of the community.

• Have basic knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office.
