Qualifications

• Guard Card required.
• Have or be able to obtain DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• 1–3 years of security, healthcare, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident emergencies and provide first aid within training.
• Conduct regular security patrols and monitor campus activity.
• Respond quickly to alarms, safety concerns, and incidents.
• Ensure buildings are secured through lock/unlock procedures.
• Support emergency response efforts and coordinate additional help as needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining safety across campus:

• Respond to resident emergencies and provide first aid within your training
• Conduct regular security patrols and monitor campus activity
• Respond quickly to alarms, safety concerns, and incident situations
• Ensure buildings are secured through lock/unlock procedures
• Support emergency response efforts and coordinate additional help when needed
• Assist with basic maintenance‑related issues (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc.) during urgent situations
• Identify and report hazards, safety risks, and incidents promptly
• Support campus events through setup and breakdown assistance
• Maintain accurate reports and documentation
• Interact with residents, families, and staff with professionalism, empathy, and respect
