Job summary

P&E Constructors is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee all aspects of project safety, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role promotes a Zero Harm culture, provides mentorship to project teams, and drives safety programs across nationwide project deployments.

Travel is a key component, with per diem support and potential for extended assignments at various project locations.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive safety leadership experience
• BCSP safety certification (CHST, ASP, SMP, CSP) or equivalent
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• OSHA 30-hour Construction card
• Working knowledge of OCIP/CCIP insurance programs
• Advanced knowledge of heavy industrial construction and OSHA regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Continuing education in safety

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Site-Specific Safety Plans
• Coordinate procurement and distribution of safety equipment
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations with root-cause analyses
• Prepare weekly and monthly safety reports
• Mentor project teams on safety practices and compliance
• Promote Zero Harm safety culture and accountability
• Loster reviews of safety incidents and near misses to improve outcomes
• Provide leadership with safety guidance to site management
