Qualifications

• Safety certification from BCSP (e.g., CSP or CHST) with at least 3 years of relevant construction safety experience.
• OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510 completed with at least 3 years of relevant construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation

Rate: $52-$54/hr

Per Diem: No per diem available

Schedule

Hours: 50-60 hours per week

Schedule: Project-based schedule

Shift: Day Shift / Project Dependent

Project Scope

The Safety Manager will support a Data Center construction project in Temple, TX, with a primary focus on underground utility construction. Work includes the installation of electric, gas, telecommunications, water, and wastewater infrastructure.

The project also includes trenching, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), and utility installation activities. This position will provide field-focused safety oversight to help ensure work is performed in accordance with project safety requirements and applicable procedures.

Qualifications

The candidate must have both:

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction card
• Current CPR / First Aid / AED certification

Plus ONE of these three qualification paths

Option 1: Experience-Based

• Minimum 7 years of experience in the type of construction work being performed
• At least 3 of those years must have been in a safety capacity

OR

Option 2: Safety Certification

• Safety certification from an accredited/recognized organization, such as BCSP
  • Examples would include credentials such as CSP or CHST, assuming accepted by HITT
• Plus at least 3 years of relevant construction safety experience

OR

Option 3: OSHA 500 / OSHA 510

• Completed OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510
• Plus at least 3 years of relevant construction safety experience

Additional Requirements

• Ability to support a demanding construction schedule of approximately 50-60 hours per week
• Comfortable working around active underground utility construction operations
• Ability to work effectively with field supervision, contractors, and project personnel
