Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Safety Manager for a Data Center construction project in Temple, TX. The role focuses on underground utility construction safety with duties spanning trenching, HDD, and utility installations under a demanding 50-60 hour workweek.

Required are OSHA 30-Hour Construction, CPR/First Aid/AED, and option-paths including BCSP certifications or OSHA 500/510, plus 3+ years in construction safety.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction card.
• Current CPR / First Aid / AED certification.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction work, with at least 3 years in a safety role.
• Safety certification from BCSP (e.g., CSP or CHST) with at least 3 years of relevant construction safety experience.
• OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510 completed with at least 3 years of relevant construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day safety oversight for underground utility construction activities.
• Monitor trenching, HDD, and utility installation operations.
• Identify potential hazards and support implementation of corrective actions.
• Promote compliance with project safety requirements and procedures.
• Work closely with field supervision and construction personnel to address safety concerns.
• Maintain a visible field presence during active construction operations.
• Support safety documentation, observations, and project reporting.
• Reinforce safe work practices throughout the project.
