Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to coordinate with Operations and Maintenance to implement proactive safety programs and training across our Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire market.

The role requires 5–7 years of safety management experience with an OSHA and FMCSA focus, an Associate degree, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel regionally and nationally; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; 5–7 years of safety management experience with OSHA/FMCSA focus.
• Ability to travel regionally and nationally on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Acts as safety resource to market employees, site managers and regional managers.
• Performs internal inspections, paperwork and safety reporting with actionable follow-up plans.
• Coordinates safety training for all Casella personnel at market level.
• Investigates accidents and injuries and maintains incident management program.
