Capital Waste Services is seeking a Safety Manager to support and administer environmental, health, and safety programs across locations. The role partners with operations leadership to promote a culture of safety, ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety performance.

The Safety Manager provides field leadership through safety audits, inspections, training, incident investigations, corrective action management, and compliance oversight.

Qualifications

• Requires a background in OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, environmental and workers' comp regulations.
• Experience with safety audits, investigations, trainings, and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support company safety programs, initiatives, and policies.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and field observations.
• Identify workplace hazards and develop corrective action plans.
• Monitor compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Plan, organize, and deliver safety training for employees and managers.
• Investigate accidents, injuries, near misses, and incidents.
• Prepare reports and presentations for leadership.
