A leading contractor in Texas is seeking a Safety Manager to ensure workplace compliance with safety regulations and foster a safety-first culture. The role involves oversight of safety programs, conducting training, and managing safety-related incidents. Job Summary :
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or similar background with a comparable combination of relevant experience and education. -+ years of experience in a professional safety role; proven successful experience in construction preferred. Experience writing Health and Safety Plans and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s). Experience performing safety inspections ensuring compliance with OSHA. Experience evaluating hazards in a construction environment, controls, and monitor effectiveness. Professional certification with the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) preferred. -hour OSHA certification required. Ability to coordinate and deliver applicable safety training. OSHA certification or the ability to obtain the certification within the first days of employment. Strong written / verbal skills with strong interpersonal skills. Must have a valid driver’s license. Ability to travel as needed, which could include extended driving and minimal overnight stays.
