Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a Safety Manager to independently support incident-free field operations across MEI sites and promote MEI’s safety culture. The role covers policy execution, training support, risk assessment, incident investigations, audits, and ongoing safety program development.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Environmental Health & Safety in construction or manufacturing, with OSHA experience and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years proven Environmental Health & Safety experience in construction or Manufacturing industries.
• Minimum 5 years EHS experience at a multi-site organization.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with OSHA standards.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Proactively executes and maintains MEI EHS policies, guidelines, procedures and programs.
• Supports MEI sites with all required EHS training (Site Specific, Protocol, OSHA, Forklift).
• Provide program support in design-in-safety, risk assessment, JSA development, and EHS system programming.
• Work with IRB and Site management to manage incidents and root cause analysis.
• Manage site incident prevention programs, permits, hazardous communications, and SDSs.
• Conduct routine site audits of equipment, materials, work practices and procedures.
• Prepare safety work instructions, procedures and JHAs as needed.
• Approve Pre-task plans and JHAs daily.
• Inspect environment, equipment and processes for compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage OJI protocol including workers' comp communications and claim closure.
• Maintain administrative records, EHS meetings, OSHA logs, IRB reports and audits.
