Job summary

MEI Rigging & Crating is seeking a Site Safety Manager to independently support field operations and promote a safe, incident-free work environment across MEI sites. You will lead safety programs, conduct investigations, and coordinate OSHA training in collaboration with operations teams.

The role requires extensive EHS experience, OSHA certifications, and the ability to communicate safety policies and drive continuous improvement in safety culture.

Qualifications

  • Be qualified to recognize safety hazards.
  • Hold current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
  • Possess a current OSHA 30-hour Construction Card, updated every two years.
  • Have either an academic degree in safety or a minimum of three years safety management experience; hold at least one of ASP, CHST, or CSP.
  • Minimum 5 years EHS safety experience or safety in construction/manufacturing at a multi-site organization.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with OSHA standards.
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Support field operations through site inspection and safety compliance.
  • Investigate incidents involving employees, materials, and equipment.
  • Communicate MEI EHS policies and regulatory changes.
  • Provide OSHA training and site-specific safety instruction.
  • Manage SIPPS, hot work permits, confined space, SDS, and related safety programs.
  • Conduct daily pre-task plan audits and safety observations.
