Job summary

YOUR NEXT COMPANY is seeking a Safety Manager to own our safety program and drive a strong safety culture from the office to the field. You will work with leadership, project teams and field crews, ensuring compliance and training for high-spec electrical work across Northern California.

This hybrid role splits time between the Brentwood office and active job sites, requiring travel across the Bay Area and Central Valley. CHST or CSP is preferred; must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Experience managing safety at electrical or specialty construction projects.
• Certification in CHST or CSP preferred; strong knowledge of safety regs.
• Proven ability to coordinate safety from office to field, including audits.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the company safety program
• Own compliance with Cal/OSHA, NFPA 70E and the IIPP
• Lead safety training, onboarding and toolbox talks for field teams
• Conduct site inspections and audits and follow up on corrective actions
• Investigate incidents and near misses and report root causes
• Manage safety metrics including EMR, recordables and audit results
• Prepare safety documentation for GC prequalification and bids
• Build relationships with GCs, owners and inspectors
• Coach foremen, superintendents and PMs on safety expectations
• Collaborate with the existing safety team and support development
