This is a split role. You'll spend part of your time in the Brentwood office and part out on active job sites, so you'll need to be comfortable driving between locations across Northern California.

  • Own compliance with Cal/OSHA, NFPA 70E and the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)

  • Lead safety training, onboarding and toolbox talk programs for field teams

  • Complete regular site inspections and audits and follow up on corrective actions

  • Investigate incidents and near misses and report on root causes and prevention

  • Manage safety metrics including EMR, recordables and audit results

  • Prepare and maintain safety documentation for general contractor prequalification and bid submissions

  • Build strong relationships with general contractors, owners and inspectors

  • Coach and support foremen, superintendents and project managers on safety expectations

  • Work alongside the existing safety team and support their development

ABOUT YOU

You're an experienced construction safety professional who can build trust with field crews and hold your own with general contractors. You'll ideally bring:

  • Proven experience in a safety management role within electrical or specialty construction

  • CHST or CSP certification (strongly preferred)

  • A solid working knowledge of Cal/OSHA, NFPA 70E and IIPP requirements

  • Experience preparing safety documentation for GC prequalification

  • A track record of improving safety performance and EMR

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a practical, hands-on approach

  • Comfort splitting your time between the office and active job sites

  • Current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation

HIGHLY REGARDED

  • Experience on commercial construction or industrial /multifamily projects highly regarded

  • Previous experience building or significantly upgrading a safety program

  • OSHA 30 or equivalent training credentials

This is a hybrid position based in Brentwood, CA, split between the office and job sites across the Bay Area and Central Valley. Applicants should live locally or be happy to commute.
