Job summary

The Parking Spot is hiring a Safety Manager in Dallas, TX to lead safety program design, policy development, and training across the organization. You will oversee workers’ compensation administration and ensure OSHA compliance while driving a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include analyzing incident data, auditing programs, and coordinating with field leadership to implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in safety, EHS or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and federal/state regulations.
  • Experience developing reports and tracking KPIs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong Excel skills for KPI reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement safety programs to reduce accidents and claims.
  • Lead the rollout of Origami, the company-wide EHS system.
  • Analyze incident data and recommend preventive measures.
  • Investigate injury claims and support investigations.
  • Develop safety KPIs and drive accountability.
  • Create and enforce safety audit programs and audits.

Position Summary

The Parking Spot is the leading near‑airport parking company at over 25 airports, and we are now hiring a Safety Manager to join our team! The Safety Manager at The Parking Spot will spearhead the development and implementation of policies and systems that improve safety performance and foster a strong culture of safety. This role oversees all aspects of employee, customer, and visitor safety, including workers’ compensation administration. Key responsibilities include data analysis and planning, developing safety programs, monitoring and evaluating safety claims, conducting safety training and coaching, and auditing programs for continuous improvement and to enhance safety awareness and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement safety programs and procedures to reduce accidents and claims for the Company
  • Lead the continuous improvement of Origami, our new Company-wide EHS software system
  • Analyze all accident/injury/incident reporting and help perform investigations to identify cause and possible preventive measures for future work of a similar nature
  • Investigate injury claims
  • Develop and track safety-related KPIs to identify trends, drive accountability and promote a culture of safety
  • Create and enforce internal and external safety audit programs, including conducting safety audits at TPS properties
  • Advise and support Field leadership, management and staff on safety best practices
  • Maintain the Company’s safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
  • Handle all OSHA related issues such as inspections, yearly reports, job site posters, citations, hearings, etc. Compile safety KPI tracking for management. Produce other safety reports as needed
  • Make corrective action recommendations to upper management concerning safety and health issues that may affect the Company
  • Provide support to our comprehensive casualty claims programs including general liability, auto, property, and workers’ compensation—by directing investigations, establishing liability, assessing financial exposure, and leveraging claims data to optimize employer modification rates.
  • Prepare, maintain and submit all records and reports required by the Company, OSHA and any other regulatory agencies, i.e. OSHA 300 log and injury records
  • Plan, monitor and control safety-related expenditures with the approved budget
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in safety management, safety engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in safety, EHS or a closely related field
  • Prior experience administering an EHS software system (Origami Risk, Velocity EHS, etc.) preferred, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and applicable federal and state regulations
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience developing reports, tracking KPIs, and using data to drive decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, support change, and promote best practices across teams
  • Keep up to date on regulatory and technological developments, industry trends, and creative solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills or any similar software for KPI reporting
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Must be willing to travel as required by situational circumstances
Salary Range

Salary Range: $110,000 per year - $120,000 per year
