Job summary

WW Clyde is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee turnkey construction projects in Texas. You will lead safety programs, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance across site teams to protect workers and maintain project momentum.

The role requires strong field experience, certifications, and bilingual communication. You will train staff, investigate incidents, and coordinate with management to sustain a safe, productive environment on heavy civil projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience.
• At least 3 years of Safety Manager experience.
• Hold BCSP CHST/OHST or OSHA 500 certification.
• Must have completed OSHA 500 for construction within last 24 months.
• CPR/First Aid/AED proof optional.
• FMCSA drug and alcohol supervisor training optional.
• Excellent people, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain a written log.
• Oversee all safety investigations and complete required reports.
• Ensure safety requirements are met by superintendents, PMs, and subcontractors.
• Attend pre-construction, pre-work, and in-progress meetings as required.
• Conduct trainings on risk management areas.
• Maintain applicable safety reference materials.
• Projects typically run 5-6 days a week with onsite supervision.
• Occasional night work and overnight travel.

• Optional:Provide proof of non-expired completion of a Red Cross or approved equal for Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and (AED).
• Optional:Provide proof of completion of FMCSA compliant 2-hour drug and alcohol reasonable suspicion supervisory training.
• Required:Excellent people, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Optional:Understanding of Owners Controlled Insurance Programs
• Preferred:Bilingual (English/Spanish)
