Job summary

WW Clyde is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee turnkey construction projects. The role requires on-site supervision in a demanding heavy civil environment, with emphasis on safety leadership, inspections, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in construction, 3+ years in safety leadership, and certifications (CHST/OHST/OSHA 500). Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; travel and night work may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of construction experience is preferred.
• At least 3 years of Safety Manager experience required.
• Must hold or have completed CHST, OHST, and OSHA 500 certifications.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; strong people skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain a written log.
• Oversee safety investigations and complete required reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements by superintendents, PMs, and subcontractors.
• Attend pre-construction, pre-work, and in-progress meetings as required.
• Deliver trainings on risk management areas.
• Maintain applicable safety reference materials.
• Projects typically run 5–6 days a week with onsite supervision.
• Occasional night work and overnight travel.
