Job summary

WW Clyde is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee our turnkey construction projects. The role focuses on maintaining safety programs, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance across sites, with frequent on-site supervision and occasional night work.

The ideal candidate has extensive construction experience, BCSP certifications, and strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10 years of construction experience.
• At least 3 years of Safety Manager experience.
• BCSP certifications: CHST/OHST; OSHA 500 appropriate for construction.
• OSHA 500 construction course completed within last 24 months.
• Excellent people, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain a written log.
• Oversee safety investigations and complete required reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health requirements by superintendents, project teams, and subcontractors.
• Attend pre-construction, pre-work, and in-progress meetings as required.
• Conduct trainings on risk management areas.
• Maintain applicable safety reference materials.
• Projects normally run 5-6 days a week with onsite supervision.
• Occasional night work and overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Required:Completed the OSHA 500 course for construction within the last24 months,remainingcurrent for the duration of the project.
• Optional:Provide proof of non-expired completion of a Red Cross or approved equal for Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and (AED).
• Optional:Provide proof of completion of FMCSA compliant 2-hour drug and alcohol reasonable suspicion supervisory training.
• Required:Excellent people, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Optional:Understanding of Owners Controlled Insurance Programs
• Preferred:Bilingual (English/Spanish)
