Job summary

Clark Construction Group in Atlanta seeks a Safety Manager to lead safety on our active projects. You will partner with project teams to implement safe work plans, enforce the Safety and Health Policy, and protect employees, trade partners, and the public.

This hands-on role requires field presence, strong communication, and a track record of reducing incidents. You will mentor safety staff, coordinate trainings, and ensure compliance with OSHA and project-specific programs across sites.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of construction safety experience or related discipline
• Ability to communicate and influence supervisors, peers, and external partners
• Proof of training and experience in crane, fall protection, excavation, scaffolds, and heavy equipment safety
• Ability to persuade and gain buy-in from a broad range of stakeholders
• Strong multi-tasking and deadline-driven capabilities
• Agile, energetic, data-driven approach to objectives
• Alignment to Clark Standards of Excellence: self-motivated, ethical, team-oriented

Responsibilities

• Drive the Clark safety culture on a project
• Oversee safety of employees, trade partners, and the public
• Enforce safety programs and regulatory standards
• Mentor safety staff and support their development
• Identify exposures and recommend corrective actions
• Develop and implement project-specific safety programs
• Coordinate with field supervision on hazard mitigation in planning
• Create jobsite safety education for crews and subs
• Lead third-party safety reviews including OSHA
• Deliver safety training beyond the jobsite
• Support corporate initiatives including OSHA alerts and policies
• Build relationships with industry professionals to win right work
• Recruit and retain top safety talent
• Exceed stakeholder expectations by anticipating needs
