Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Safety Manager to protect workers, partners, and the public on active projects. You will drive a culture of care, enforce Clark's Safety and Health Policy, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards across sites.

You will mentor safety staff, develop project-specific safety programs, and collaborate with field supervision to integrate safety into planning and execution. Excellent communication and leadership are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in construction safety; undergraduate safety/health degree
• Strong communication and influence
• Experience with crane, fall protection, excavation, scaffolds, heavy equipment
• Ability to persuade and gain buy-in across stakeholders
• Strong multitasking and deadline management
• Agile, data-driven approach to objectives
• Aligned with Clark Standards of Excellence

Responsibilities

• Drive the Clark safety culture on a project
• Oversee safety of employees, trade partners, and public
• Enforce safety programs and federal/state/local standards
• Mentor safety staff and support their development
• Identify exposures and recommend corrective action
• Develop and implement project-specific safety programs
• Partner with field supervision to plan safety in construction activities
• Create site safety education for subcontractors
• Lead safety vision and strive for a safe workplace
• Coordinate third-party safety reviews including OSHA
• Teach safety topics beyond the jobsite
• Support business plans and corporate policies
• Identify industry relationships to win work
• Recruit top safety talent
• Exceed stakeholder expectations
