Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and continuously improve safety operations across multiple construction projects in the DC Metro area, overseeing compliance, inspections, training, and one direct report while partnering with executive leadership.

The ideal candidate will have EM-385 and OSHA 30 certifications, 5+ years in construction safety, strong leadership and communication, and willingness to travel daily across project sites; they will develop and enforce

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Safety Manager in construction.
Experience leading safety programs across multiple projects and teams.
OSHA/EM-385 compliance knowledge and certifications.
Ability to travel daily across the DC Metro region and project sites.

Responsibilities

Lead safety initiatives across multiple active construction projects in the DC Metro region.
Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs, policies, and procedures.
Conduct routine jobsite inspections, audits, and risk assessments for compliance.
Manage incident investigations and implement corrective action plans.
Provide safety training, coaching, and support to field and office personnel.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, EM-385, and applicable safety standards.
Partner with project teams to identify and mitigate safety risks.
Prepare safety reports, documentation, and compliance records for leadership review.
Supervise and mentor one direct-report safety professional.
Serve as the primary safety resource for field operations and leadership.
