Job summary

Viaflex, Inc. is seeking a Training Specialist – Safety & L&D to design, deliver, and manage safety training across multiple locations in Sioux Falls, Brandon, and Madison.

The role emphasizes hands-on floor coaching, incident-follow-up actions, and maintaining compliant training records. You will also develop supervisor and team training on discipline, harassment, and company policies, while supporting onboarding with the L&D partner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, education, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in safety, training, or EHS, preferably in manufacturing.
• Train-the-trainer certifications (e.g., forklift) helpful.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and updates safety training materials and assessments.
• Delivers new hire safety orientation and recurring training in person and virtually.
• Coaches team members on safe work practices and addresses unsafe behaviors.
• Partners with Sr. Safety Manager on incident investigations and training actions.
• Maintains training records, certifications, and competency documentation per OSHA and ISO.
• Tracks training completion and follows up on overdue training across locations.
• Supports safety committees, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develops and delivers supervisor and team member training on policies and discipline.
