Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking Safety Interns for Summer 2027 at locations nationwide. The 12-week internship provides real-work experience, exposure to safety functions, and mentoring to prepare for a career on GP's safety team.

As an intern, you will work with EH&S professionals, participate in incident investigations, safety inspections, and learn Principle Based Management. Locations include Diboll, Augusta, Rincon and other sites across the United States.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a degree or alternative program (e.g., technical college, certificate, upskilling).
• Ability to relocate per program requirements.
• Eligible for full-time employment on or before Summer 2028; legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Interact with EH&S professionals to connect classroom learnings to a real manufacturing site.
• Streamline safety processes and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations, chemical monitoring, or safety inspections.
• Gain experience in safe work practices, emergency response, and injury-free operations.
• Understand, develop, and apply Principle Based Management.
