Job summary

Kiewit is offering a Safety Intern position focused on learning the skills, programs, regulations and guidelines to keep workers safe on North American projects. You will support site safety, monitor activities for regulatory compliance, and help with audits and training across diverse environments.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an OH&S-related degree, with strong communication, organization, and a proactive safety mindset; travel/relocation may be required for project locations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Strong computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and overseeing the Project Safety Program and site safety policies.
• Monitor construction project activities for compliance with regulations and policies.
• Contribute to safety program audits, coaching, and on-site training.
