County Materials Family of Companies is seeking a Safety Intern in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The role supports the safety department with implementing and maintaining safety protocols, while gaining field exposure and administrative experience.

You will work with Operations to uphold a safe, compliant workplace and develop attention to detail and communication skills. Responsibilities include training coordination, safety inspections, incident investigations, and data analysis to identify

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in safety-focused coursework.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in using basic office software and comfortable learning new systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate safety records and assist with manuals, guidelines, and training materials.
• Coordinate new-hire safety training, develop materials and presentations, and track employee participation.
• Conduct safety inspections, address hazards with Operations, and assist with audits.
• Assist in the investigation of incidents, gathering relevant information for reporting and analysis.
• Support development and implementation of emergency response plans by coordinating drills and exercises.
• Communicate safety policies, procedures, and updates to team members and promote a culture of safety.
• Compile and analyze safety data to identify trends and generate reports for management.
• Stay informed about relevant safety regulations and assist in regulatory reporting.
