Job summary

Republic Airways in Carmel, NY seeks an intern for the Safety/Operations analysis track. The role offers mentorship, department shadowing and professional development while gaining exposure to aviation operations.

Applicants should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in aviation or related fields, maintain a 2.5 GPA, and show strong analytical and MS Office skills. Onsite work at Carmel HQ with up to 40 hours weekly is expected.

  • Analyze Safety data
  • Identify trends in data and present findings to senior management
  • Research data to assist in process improvement for any interfacing departments
  • Understand company emergency response procedures and assist in improvement of existing procedures
  • Participate in operational risk assessments

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Observe Safety department meetings

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to work onsite at our Carmel Headquarters location, unless otherwise directed by hiring manager
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week with a minimum of 20 hours for spring and fall interns
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
