Qualifications

• Enrolled in college with at least 1 year of study in a related field.
• Basic knowledge of safety and environmental principles.
• Desire to learn about construction safety management.
• Flexible to work standard business hours and overtime as determined by assignment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing Building L.I.F.E. and safety programs on site.
• Assist with identifying and reporting safety violations or unsafe practices.
• Coordinate safety duties for safety committees and meetings.
• Coordinate training at safety meetings, toolbox talks, and orientations.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with company policies.
• Promote safe work practices and conditions in accordance with regulations.
• Assist with administration of drug screening program.
• Assist with preconstruction meetings and documenting meetings.
• Assist with site inspections and developing inspection summaries.
• Maintain safety records (pre-task plans, JHA, training, OSHA 300 log, MSDS).
• Conduct worker orientation program and record participation.
• Other duties as assigned and under supervision.
