Job summary

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university program in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field; minimum 1 year completed.
• Basic knowledge of safety and environmental principles.
• Desire to work in construction management and to learn about construction industry.
• Flexible to work standard business hours and overtime as determined by assignment.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills including student leadership, volunteerism, or other community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing Building LIFE (Living Injury Free Everyday) on construction projects or office locations under supervision.
• Assist with identifying and reporting safety violations or unsafe practices, including imminent danger situations.
• Assist with coordinating safety duties for safety committees, preconstruction meetings, and toolbox talks.
• Assist with coordinating safety training at meetings, toolbox talks, and orientations.
• Assist with reviewing subcontractor safety programs for compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
